Compositing Coach courses’ Compositing Coach courses at 01zero-one have been designed to establish the craft of vfx compositing step by step and from a real post house work perspective.
We'll show you roto and prep and give you the material to work on in your own time, saving you money on course fees and pointing you in the direction of 'my first showreel'. This allows you to approach vfx post houses as a prospective roto/prep artist. You'll need to sign up for both courses to get the most from this idea.

Digital Rotoscoping in SHAKE (Module 1): Learn how to produce animated mattes professionally, using Apple’s Shake software. This is entry level to get into 2D visual effects and post production. It will also be of use to digital film makers and motion graphic designers who need to develop the technique of tight articulate masking (matting). No previous experience of Shake is necessary.

Digital Preparation in SHAKE (Module 2): Learn how to Repair, Restore and Paint professionally, using Apple’s Shake software. This is for post house and VFX people who want to up-skill from running, roto or the machine room. It will also be of use to Digital Film makers who wish to remove wires or rigs from their work or repair otherwise unusable shots. No previous experience of Shake is necessary.
Date: 10th and 11th March (10am-5pm)
Cost: £250 (£225 Concession)
If you book both Digital Rotoscope and Digital Preparation together you receive a
£50 discount on the overall price.
Compositor Coach Work Review (Evening): An opportunity to review material you have taken away and worked on since taking the course. This will be a group session getting professional feedback on Showreel Shots.
