Tutor Jeremy Gould writes:

I started in TV in the Film Unit of the BBC at Ealing Studios. Trained as a Projectionist in Film Production then went on to work as Camera Grip, Assistant Cameraman and graduated to BBC Bristol as a Lighting Film Cameraman. Worked on a vast variety of BBC production predominantly Natural History but also included many documentaries, light entertainment, current affairs and dramas. Pinnacle of my career was working with Sir David Attenborough on "Life on Earth", "The Living Planet" and "The First Eden", these included many famous sequences with animals, fish and primates! I then went into TV Management as Deputy Head of Film, PSC and Post Production at LWT, until it was taken over by Granada. During this period I managed film cameramen, film editors, video editors, TV studio cameramen and technicians and oversaw such productions as "Poirot" for Carnival Films, "South Bank Show", Melvyn Bragg and many studio productions such as "An Audience with" and "Blind Date"! Following this I successfully help start up a couple of companies, ran Actual Media Training. Then took a 1 year contract at the National Film and TV School in Beaconsfield as TV manager running their TV Studio and trained in Singapore (4 years) with TV and film cameramen and also for UNESCO in Jamaica where I trained TV staff in TV production ,. Recently I have completed a 2 year contract at YTV Leeds as head of Provision the equipment facility division supplying kit and experience to crews on "Emmerdale", "Countdown", "Heartbeat", "The Royal", a "Touch of Frost" and many other ITV dramas. Most recently between jobs I have been marketing my studio experience to corporate companies as team-building and corporate events.
